2016 in Review

Phew, where did 2016 go???

When I think back to this past year, there were lots of super fun things we did along with big trips and exciting travels.  But really most of the year was made up of regular old boring days. And you know what?  Those are the days I love most as they are the ones that are truly making up our lives and forming my children.

Here's a recap of 2016:

January

This little man started giving us smiles and we could not (still can't!) get enough of them.

February

To escape the winter blahs, we headed south to Morocco for a few days of warmth and sun.

On the 19th, this sweet little girl turned 3!

March

For the first time in several years, we celebrated Easter at home in London.

April

We traded London life for island life with a week on the Spanish island of Mallorca.

We then traded the warm beaches of Spain for the blustery canals of Copenhagen.

Geoff completed his first London Marathon.

May

We did a whirlwind weekend trip to the USA for my brother Jason's wedding.

June

We headed to the English countryside.

July

Summer holidays from school began!

We took our second trip to the USA to spend time with my family in the Midwest.

August

We concluded our USA trip visiting our family and friends in Texas.

We returned home and enjoyed the splendid London weather.

September

The girls kicked off a new school year.

On September 7, my beautiful Olivia turned 6.

October

Superheroes took over our house for Halloween.

On the 22nd, my little man turn 1.  Oh my how he has made our family so much better!

We wrapped up the month in Dubai.

November

We celebrated our fifth (and last!) Thanksgiving apart from our family.

December

Christmas festivities got kicked off with a visit to Santa.

We celebrated Christmas in the beautiful city of Budapest.

I do not know what 2017 holds…so many changes are coming very soon as we prepare to move back to the USA at the beginning of February.  There are a lot of uncertainties ahead for our family.  However, I do know this:
“For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord.  Plans to prosper you and not harm you; plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11.

Happy 2017 everyone!
