We were initially told by Geoff's company that we would be here for a couple of years and with that, Geoff expects to get a new job assignment sometime in the next few months. But the location of that assignment is still unknown. It might be another role here in London or his company could decide he's needed back in Houston. We have our fingers crossed that it will be here in London. While there are lots of things we miss about home in the US, especially our families, friends and Target, we absolutely love living here right now. Not only do we have these crazy travel opportunities in Europe (hopefully you aren't getting tired of reading about all of them), but London itself is such a fun and exciting city. It's pretty cool to go out for a run from our house and in the course of it, run by Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament and the London Eye all in one go. Plus, it feels like only two years here just isn't long enough to justify all the changes we had to make to leave Houston...selling our house and cars, giving up my job, etc.
Before the cold and rainy weather arrives, we decided to get some professional photos done of our family in London to take back with us as special memories just in case a move back to the US is in our near future. We have lots of photos of us in places all over Europe but we didn't have a single (family) photo with some of the sights in our hometown. I found a wonderful photo company (let me know if you live in London and want the name) and the photographer did an amazing job of capturing us around Big Ben, the Thames River and the oh-so-cute Notting Hill neighborhood.
