Before long, the water was back on. Hooray! My goodness this girl loves the water. Oh, the looks of fun on her face as she ran around sticking her hands, feet or whole body into the various water spouts shooting out of the ground. She was one of the smallest kids out there, but she had no problem with the big kids even though some of them were a little rowdy. Olivia tried to imitate whatever the bigger kids around her were doing in the water, most of the time unsuccessfully, which provided plenty of laughs for me and Geoff.

Splish Splash, Summer at Last
Last weekend we made our first trip to the Discovery Green splash pad, which is this wonderful park in downtown Houston. Bathing suits and water definitely mean that summer is here, even though I guess it's felt like summer in Houston for awhile now. Unfortunately when we first arrived, they had just shut off the water since there had been a couple flashes of lightning off in the distance. Olivia kept asking us for "Agua" or Spanish for water. While we waited for them to give the all clear, she enjoyed herself climbing all over the nearby playground.
