Growing up

My baby is one month old.  Here are Olivia's current stats and other facts:

Weight: 9 lb, 1 oz (25% percentile)

Length: 21 inches (75% percentile)

- She is very alert these days when she's not sleeping and loves to look around. She is content to just sit and take in the world.

- We are starting to get little smiles from her, even though she probably doesn't really know she's given them yet.  Usually they are in her sleep or when she's creating a dirty diaper.  But we don't care how we get the smiles.  We'll take them!

- She loves to kick her legs.  Hopefully we have a future runner on our hands!  On several occasions, I have snugly covered up her bottom half with a blanket when I put her to bed to keep her cozy.  Later, when responding to her cries, I have found she has kicked the blanket all the way up so it's covering her face.

- She is beginning to give us a little baby babble and noises.  So cute.
