Good thing she wears elastic waist pants

Back when I took Olivia to our pediatrician for her one year check up, he warned me that typically around age 12-14 months, children start to become picky eaters and their appetites somewhat dwindle as they aren't gaining weight as quickly as they did between the age of 0-12 months.  Well, I am happy to say that Olivia has bucked the trend.  Or at least for the time being anyways.  This girl loves to eat.  She almost always cleans her plate (mainly in her tummy but frequently on everything else in the near vicinity) and then often wants additional food from mommy or daddy's plate.   I was told that in the nursery at church, whenever it's snack time, Olivia is first in line and then makes sure that there are no leftover Cheerios, Goldfish or whatever the snack is that day.  Good grief...the nursery ladies must think we don't feed her at home!  Some of her favorite foods are beans, blueberries, grapes, cottage cheese, crackers, bread, peanut butter, lima beans, quinoa and cucumbers.  I mean, come on...how many kids like cucumbers?!?  She also has a little sweet tooth so we don't keep many sweets in the house.  It's good for her parents that way too since got her sweet tooth from them. Of course, there are certain food she doesn't like but the list is pretty short. We are so thankful for our little porker...er, I mean, eater and hope she keeps up her good eating ways.

Little Helper

Recently Olivia has really begun to imitate us and want to be doing exactly what we are doing.  She loves to offer her assistance and be involved in everything.  That included washing the car one day.  She was such a great little helper to Daddy and it was fun to see how excited she was to participate.

She got a little bored by the end and started finding other things to do to entertain herself:
